Guo Gengmao said that the consensus reached between the two sides during the visit of Mr. President to Henan last year is progressing smoothly. As a local government of China, Henan Province will firmly implement the foreign policy and foreign policy formulated by the Chinese central government. The Bokai bauxite development project, the largest cooperation project between Henan and Guinea, has been smoothly promoted. Guinea is very concerned about whether the project can achieve mutual benefit and win-win results, especially in terms of improving the production and living conditions of local people. In this regard, Henan will give strong support to the project in terms of technology, management, and capital, and strive to make this project effective. At the same time, we hope that the Guinean government will be able to maintain the continuity of the policy on the one hand, and on the other hand, in the future, to extend the aluminum industry industrial chain, to provide power support from ore to alumina to electrolytic aluminum production process. The cooperation between Henan and Guinea has broad prospects. I believe that as long as the two sides complete the cooperation projects in the early stage, the cooperation areas between the two sides will continue to develop in more fields and higher levels. China and Guinea are friendly countries with brothers and we are willing to make positive contributions to the accelerated development of Guinea.

Conte said that Governor Guo Gengmao and his delegation visited Guinea to demonstrate the sincerity of Henan’s cooperation with Guinea. The cooperation between China and Guinea has also begun to advance from the national level to the local level. During the visit to Henan last year, the industrious Henan people left a deep impression on us and saw the vitality of Henan’s development. I hope that Henan will bring this vitality to Guinea in the cooperation between the two sides. At present, Henan is developing bauxite projects in the Bokai area of Guinea. We will make every effort to ensure the smooth implementation of the project. At the same time, we will learn the hard work of the people of Henan and get rid of poverty as soon as possible with the help of the people of Henan and China.

After the talks, Guo Gengmao and Condé attended the handover ceremony of the Henan Provincial Government donating 50 combine harvesters to Guinea.

At the handover ceremony, Guo Gengmao said that during the friendly Conte president visiting to Henan Province in September last year, we reached an agreement on the donation of harvesters to Guinea in Henan Province. We are very pleased to fulfill the promise in Guinea today. The donation of 50 combine harvesters is the beginning of cooperation between the two sides in agriculture. Henan Province is China’s major agricultural province and its agricultural technology is relatively mature. We will use this as an opportunity to further increase support and cooperation for agricultural development in Guinea and promote the advancement of agricultural science and technology in Guinea. China and Guinea have great potential for cooperation in areas such as agricultural development, infrastructure construction and mineral resources development. We firmly believe that with the joint efforts of both sides, we will be able to comprehensively and deeply promote bilateral cooperation.
